Mill Scale

Mill Scale is a scrap collected by the steel mill operations, located in Italy and other European countries.

 At a visual inspection, the material appears as a black metal powder made of small particles and chips. Its physical state is solid and powdered. The material is stable and it is insoluble in H₂O. From the analysis, we performed on the scrap and according to the Italian national law, the material has been classified as a SPECIAL NON-DANGEROUS WASTE.

It's average composition is the following:

• Fe: 71,22%
• SiO2: 0,98%
• Al2O3: 0,11%
• CaO: 0,32%
• P: 0,026%
• S: 0,054%

We have available about 24,000 tons a year (about 2000 tons/month).

The scrap shall be loaded loose in 20' Upgrade containers (about 27 tons each) and according to the European laws that regulate the shipment of waste (EU law no. 1013_2006, 1418_2007, 740_2008 e 837_2010).
